FAQ: Is This The Right Location?

Sometimes, it may happen that you look at a webcam and then at the location on the map below and think: "Hmm, this can't be the right location." Or you know the region where the webcam is, but the location on the map doesn't correlate with what you see on the webcam image.

Luckily, there is a simple way to suggest the right location. Just click on "Put it in the right place" below the map. On the following page you can drag and drop the marker that indicates the current location to the right location. Alternatively you may search for a place in the case that the current location is completely wrong.

When you positioned the marker on the right location, simply click on "Suggest this position" and your suggested location will enter a review process. If the suggested location is considered as OK the old location will be replaced by the new one.

It's that easy and helps to improve the positioning of the webcam in Google Maps and Google Earth.
